Antonio Garcia Soler was born into an artistic family in Alcoy (Alicante), Spain in 1957. His father, Jorge, was a teacher in the “Escuela de Bellas Artes de Alicante”. Jorge passed on his passion for art to Antonio when he was very young. Later, Soler completed his artistic studies in the prestigious “San Carlos Fine Art School of Valencia.”
Soler loves the Mediterranean. He has lived by the sea all his life, and this is beautifully reflected in the light, shadow and atmosphere of his canvases. Among his favorite subjects are cliffs and seascapes. Antonio’s superb realism has be acclaimed internationally, and he is particularly noted for the delicate transparency he creates with his water subjects. His work has been featured in many solo and group exhibitions, and is included in private collections in both the United States and Europe. He also has been awarded a number of prizes and medals as listed below.
