“I spent my life working with my hands. My passion is carpentry, building something that didn’t exist before. I spent years remodeling, and reviving worn out homes that have been neglected or abandoned and I brought new life back to them. I’ve always put in an honest days work and I take pride in being able to see the result.

In my second career, I’m putting that same passion and energy into my works of art. I paint in both acrylics and oil. I paint, I scrape, I sand and I layer until I’m happy with the result. My paintings have been described as humble and honest. I like to think that they reflect the work ethic that I’ve had all my life.

My new abstract work was inspired and created in 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic. The body of work came about from a need to express excitement and color in my life while handling day to day living with the restrictions brought about by the virus.”
